If I had to summarise my design journey in one sentence, I’d say - I worked with small to mid-sized companies as an intern and a contractor, and designed 15+ products across multiple industries as a freelancer all of which impacted raising money through MVPs, increased user engagement, or improved experience.
I am also a content creator on Instagram, helping new designers get started in the field and giving back to the community. When I’m not designing, I like to spend my time going for a walk, painting, watching sunsets or the clouds, sketching, exploring different cuisines of food, and cooking.
I always loved solving problems and being creative and found out in 2020 that I could make a career out of it in design. As a kid, I embraced being creative. I participated in a lot of activities - be it painting, making clay models, or just sketching.
In the second year of my computer science undergrad (when the pandemic hit), I realised I didn’t just want to think of logic and solve problems through code, I wanted to do something more creative and understand the ‘why’ behind it. This was when I scoured Coursera to explore different fields and I landed on a UX/UI course.
After this, I knew it was what I always wanted to do. I was never so engrossed, I loved the idea of solving problems through design and empathy. I enrolled in multiple courses, watched a ton of YouTube videos on UX, and completely deep-dived into the field.
This led to my freelance journey and I got to work on a wide range of interesting projects with people from all around the world. Fast forward to today - because of my passion for understanding UX deeper and pursuing it full time, I packed my entire life into 2 suitcases and moved across the world with a strong desire and big dreams to make my impact in the design industry.
